- Geographic Grid is a system of imaginary arcs drawn in a grid pattern on Earth's surface
- Meridian's- Longitude-N to S, poles, Prime Meridian
- Parallels-Latitude- E to W- Equator
- Every point on the earth can be measured precisely by points of latitude and longitude intersection
- Further accuracy can be found by dividing each degree into 60 minutes and each minute into 60 seconds
- The Earth is a sphere divided into 360 degrees of longitude
- GMT is located at the Prime Meridian
- Divide 360 degrees by 24 times zones=15 degrees. Each time zone is 15 degrees wide
- International Date Line is located at 180 degrees longitude
- IDL is the point where you move the clock back 24 hours, if heading East
- IDL is the point where you move the clock forward 24 hours, if heading West
